Lewis Hamilton started his Formula 1 career as team-mate to Fernando Alonso, who would “love” that to be how they finish their respective stories too.
Alonso would ultimately leave McLaren at the end of that campaign, but it’s a driver rivalry that has continued to simmer away between the pair who are now veterans of the Formula 1 grid and still operating at the peak of their powers.
