EXCLUSIVE Pregnant Ferne McCann: 'Sunday saved me – I became a warrior when she was born'
Not only will she be celebrating the occasion with her five-year-old daughter Sunday and her own mum Gilly, but it’s her last as a mum-of-one.
The Essex girl describes being pregnant as “really positive”, adding, “Babies and children coming into the world, they’re such little blessings. I’ve got something to work towards and I’m really excited for that moment when the baby’s here. It has given me that focus again.” “I love receiving those sorts of messages, especially from single parents,” she says. “It was so tough and I felt so lonely at times.
“When I was pregnant, I was against being labelled a single mother and then when I gave birth to Sunday, it [became] something I [was] proud of,” she says. “I’ll always have that feeling of that ‘warrior single motherhood’ inside of me.” The star tells us she has an “amazing relationship” with Gilly – a regular on First Time Mum – and explains why Mother’s Day itself is such an important day for her.
The star hopes to have a home water birth, but says she won’t be finding out the baby’s gender until it’s born.
