Much like the Gatsby era, the 2020s have been a breath of refreshed air for fashion. Tinged with bits and pieces of inspiration from other eras, many recent collections showcase a bit of a historical element, as seen in Creative Director Maximilian Davis’s Autumn Winter lineup for the iconic Italian fashion house. “The 1920s used clothing as a way to celebrate freedom . . .
And that expression of freedom is something which resonates with me, with my heritage, and with Ferragamo,” Davis remarks in the collections notes.Dresses are set in translucent hyper-feminine silhouettes, with flapper-esque feathered adornments and sequinned embroideries. The contrasting synchronization of masculinity and femininity is married in expansive shoulders, done in rich wool and supple leathers.
