.HomesteadMiami hosts the 2023 season-opener for Ferrari Challenge North America:
Run under a warm Florida sun, drivers seemed to have no rust to speak of as clean competitive racing largely dominated the proceedings of the day.Roberto Perrina secured a lights to flag win at Homestead-Miami Speedway with Jason McCarthy and Manny Franco taking the rest of the podium places. The first race of the season was competitive but ultimately uninterrupted.
At the line they were separated by only .5 seconds. Chuck Whittall rounded out the podium in third.Sureel Choksi earned the win in a deeply competitive Coppa Shell race that unfortunately ended under caution after Neil Langberg struck the wall in turn 3. Cameron Root secured second position in his first-ever Ferrari Challenge race, passing eventual third-place finisher Yahn Bernier six minutes into the thirty-minute contest.
