Alabama fertility resumes treatment and are actively lining up patients to resume care immediately.
) - Fertility clinics across Alabama are getting back to work and helping patients after Alabama’s IVF bill was signed into law.Doctors from Alabama fertility, one of the clinics that paused IVF services, said they have now resumed treatment and are actively lining up patients to resume care immediately.
“We were grateful to the legislators specifically senator nelson and representative Collins for forging a solution in this complex issue. So, our initial response to the passage of the bill was relief that we can get back to immediate IVF care in the state of Alabama,” said Mamie McLean, a physician at Alabama Fertility.
“I still feel like there is a shadow over our subspecialty that as long as the supreme court ruling stands that there could always be a potential threat to access to complete IVF care in the state,” said McLean.
