Train managers in the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) Union have suspended walk outs after Avanti West Coast made a new offer.
Train services through Lockerbie are set to run normally over the festive period after strike action was called off.
However, a new offer from the train company has seen the industrial action suspended so that members can be consulted, with a ballot due to end on Tuesday.RMT members had been due to strike on December 22, 23 and 29. The RMT claims the improved offer includes enhanced rest day working payments and discussions on new technology.
