The Florida Highway Patrol today arrested a 31-year-old Pensacola man for an outstanding warrant in connection to a fatal crash that happened late last year.
) - The Florida Highway Patrol today arrested a 31-year-old Pensacola man on an outstanding warrant in connection to a fatal crash that happened late last year.The crash happened Nov. 13. According to the FHP, Folds was driving a Ford F150 south on Chemstrand Road in Escambia County when his right tires dropped off the pavement onto the shoulder. Folds tried to regain control of the Ford and swerved left back onto the roadway and crashed into the side of a Dodge Charger.
The FHP said the collision entrapped the occupants of the Charger. Following the crash, the occupants and operator of the other vehicles involved were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with incapacitating injuries.The driver of the Charger later died from injuries he sustained in the crash, authorities said.
Folds was allegedly under the influence at the time of the crash and had a blood alcohol content of 0.315, according to the FHP.
