'I'm just stunned by it all and I know how hurt Jeff would have been'
The heartbroken fiancée of a man who died while on the 'holiday of a lifetime' has told of her devastation after their home was broken into while the family were attending his memorial service. Donna Jones and Jeff Walker embarked on their bucket list trip to Australia in December where they planned to meet friends and get married after a six-year engagement.
"I'm just stunned by it all and I know how hurt Jeff would have been," Donna told LancsLive. "I wouldn't like to think it was planned, I'd rather think it was someone who had come in randomly." Now, Donna and her close friends and family are hoping to find out more information regarding the incident. She is looking for her items to be returned, particularly the most sentimental ones and the items that belonged to Jeff.
"I could get the monetary value for it to go and buy something to remind me of what they've done. I don't want the money, I don't want any of it. I just want specific items back."
