Fifteen-month-old girl mauled to death by family pit bull in grandparents backyard
A TODDLER has tragically died after being viciously mauled by her grandparents' pet pit bull.
The 15-month old girl was at her grandparents' home in enjoying lunch in their backyard when the canine savagely attacked her just before 3pm on Thursday, police said.Credit: GoFundMe"It's hard because even a family dog, a family-friendly dog, can suddenly lash out for whatever reason," he said.She was rushed to Hasbro Children's Hospital, where she later died.
Two of the tot's adult family members were also hurt when they attempted to intervene and were treated for their injuries atOnce officers found the pet roaming in the backyard, the dog was put down, authorities said.
