Tuisova did not attend the funeral as he remains at the World Cup in France for Fiji’s match against Portugalto news outlet Fiji Village that Tuisova had been informed of the passing of his son, Tito, just hours before the Flying Fijians’ 17-12 comeback win over
“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Tito Micgabraph Donzel Ratulevu,” a statement in Fiji read. “He is the son of Mr Josua Tuisova and Mrs Katarina Ladoge Ramoce. Affectionately known as ‘Tito’, he peacefully departed after a prolonged battle with a debilitating illness in Lautoka hospital.”
However, Tuisova told Ratulevu that he would be unable to attend his son’s funeral in Votua, a village in Ba, Western Fiji, as he will instead remain in France ahead of his side’s final group-stage match against Portugal on 8 October.Fiji require just a point against their winless Pool C opponents Portugal on Sunday in order to finish ahead ofand progress to the quarter-finals for the third time in history. They have not made the last eight since 2007.
