It's all over for Filipino American Jason Robertson and his Dallas Stars, as his team was eliminated in the National Hockey League's (NHL) Western Conference Finals in six games to the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday (Tuesday in Manila) at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Dallas was held off the scoresheet 6-0, as Vegas goaltender Adin Hill made 18 saves to get the shutout and the game's first star honors.Robertson, who played all 82 regular season games, had 46 goals, 63 assists for 109 points, and was a point per game player in the playoffs, with 18 points in 18 games.Dallas forward Roope Hintz, who is usually on a line with Robertson, finished the playoffs with 24 points in 18 games.
For Vegas, it will be their second Stanley Cup final in franchise history, after making it in their inaugural season in 2018. From that roster, only Karlsson, Marchessault, Carrier, Reilly Smith, and defensemen Shea Theodore and Brayden McNabb are left from a team then known as the 'Golden Misfits'.The team received the Clarence S. Campbell from NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly, for being the champions of the Western Conference.
