Eddie McCaffrey is a producer for The Spin, which begins filming in Omagh and the surrounding area this weekend.
The producer of a comedy film to be shot and set in Omagh over the next month says he wants to open the Co Tyrone town up to more film production companies.
“Omagh has a reputation that none of us like understandably, given what happened 25 years ago and even earlier this year with the shooting of a police officer. “There are some beautiful places here and hopefully we can convince them that this is somewhere they can go and film too.” “We are ready to rock and roll, we start shooting this Sunday September 2nd and we run until the end of the month.
