Final Fantasy XIV director has revealed that he would love to do a Diablo crossover, but blending the two styles would make the collaboration 'a tricky one.'
Square Enix's announcement earlier this year, which revealed that Final Fantasy XIV is launching on Xbox Series X|S in 2024, was met with excitement from the Xbox community, but it looks like we could have something else to be excited for if the game's director gets his way. The Final Fantasy Fan Festival held in London over the weekend saw Final Fantasy XIV director, Naoki Yoshida, say that he would 'be so happy to see some sort of collaboration with Diablo.
So, I mean, if we could just make it work then I would be so happy to see some sort of collaboration with Diablo,' Yoshida said in a press conference during Fan Festival 2023 . https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/142790.jpg Obviously, Diablo is much less stringent than Final Fantasy 14 when it comes to portraying gore and horror elements, so the difficulty of implementing such a crossover isn't lost on Yoshida.
