A big schedule change is set to take place at BBC Radio 6 Music as DJ Steve Lamacq will scale back his daily weekday show - this is why.
The 58-year-old has presented theHe has hosted the slot since 2005 for five days a week but he will now be scaling back his broadcasting duties to just one weekday after taking a break in October.

Speaking to his listeners on Friday , Steve explained: “It will be a wrench to leave this slot full time. Many have taken to social media to support the legendary radio DJ, with one person saying: “@steve_lamacq is a legend, even if 6 moved him to first thing in the morning I'm sure he would conquer a crowd of Listeners with his talents...all the best with the new slot.”
