The President “has asked his close confidant and now Senator Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go to coordinate with the Transportation Department and source funds for the completion and operation of the mothballed Central Mindanao Airport in Mlang town,” Piñol said. The CMA was built with an initial P430-million budget. Its terminal building and 1.2-kilometer runway were inaugurated by President Arroyo in November 2009.
