BREAKING: NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg has confirmed that Finland will join the alliance tomorrow.

‘We will raise the Finnish flag for the first time here at NATO headquarters,’ he told reporters gathered in NATO’s headquarters. ‘It will be a good day for Finland’s security, for Nordic security and for NATO as a whole. Sweden will also be safer as a result.’ Russia’s war in Ukraine pushed Finland and Sweden to apply to join NATO, and as such abandon decades of military non-alignment.
