After hours of burning, a fire at a northeast Harris County recycling facility has been extinguished.

The fire happened at Prestige Auto and Metal Recycling located at 7615 East Mount Houston Road. It was first reported around 2 p.m. Saturday.The Eastex Fire Department said they along with 14 other agencies from Harris, Fort Bend, and Montgomery County worked through the night to extinguish the fire.At approximately 4 a.m. Sunday, all mutual aid was released and the Eastex Fire Department worked to monitor for any hot spots and sift through scrap metal.
