A fire razed a part of a wood factory compound on Sunday, Feb. 5, in Parañaque City.
According to the Parañaque Emergency Local Operations Center , the fire started at the facility located along Barangay San Antonio in Dr. A. Santos Avenue around 11:22 p.m. and quickly reached the first alarm at 11:34 p.m.
Reports showed the fire started at the 25,000 square meter barracks of stay-in employees owned by Consolidated Wood Products Inc. Sr. Supt. Douglas Guiab of the Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region District 3, said the fire reached Task Force Bravo with at least 19 firetrucks responding to the incident.
Guiab said firefighters had a hard time controlling the fire because of the low supply of water in the area.The BFP said it recorded no casualty or injury and is still investigating the cause of fire.FOI Stella Ramos of the Parañaque City Bureau of Fire and Protection said the BFP placed the damage caused by the fire at P20-million.
