Residents at Alpine Industrial Park in Elkesley have been told to keep their windows and doors shut

Eight fire engines are currently at the blaze at Alpine Industrial Park in Elkesley, just south of Retford .reported the incident at 8.20pm on Wednesday, August 21. It advised anyone affected by the smoke to keep their doors and windows closed.
Photos taken by nearby residents show thick plumes of black smoke rising into the air, with flames visible through trees in the distance. The fire service said: "We currently have 6 appliances at a fire at a recycling facility in Elkesley. We are advising any affected by the smoke to keep doors and windows closed."
