Da Luciano's was sealed off by investigators as a probe got underway
A blaze at a popular restaurant in a village known for its celebrity footballers and business tycoon residents is being investigated by police.
Broken glass could be seen around the patio area outside while inside walls and windows were left black from smoke damage. "There's clearly been a lot of damage caused to the inside and outside of the restaurant and the police have got it sealed off. A force spokesperson added: "Around 12.35am on Tuesday, 18 July, 2023, we were called to a report of a fire at a premises on Silverwells Crescent in Bothwell.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 00.32am on Tuesday, July 18 to reports of a fire in a commercial restaurant at Silverwells Crescent, Bothwell in Glasgow.
