Five years on from the Stoneygate Masterplan and whether it will finally fix Church StreetFlames and smoke have been seen coming from the upstairs of a property in Shelley Road – towards where it meets Blackpool Road.Emergency services have closed off part of Shelley Road while they deal with the fire – which was understood to be put out around 8.15am.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Three fire engines from Preston and Penwortham have attended a domestic premises in Shelley Road. “Firefighters are currently on scene using four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.”Sign up below to receive Blog Preston's email newsletter.
