Firefighters were called to Seven Sisters road in Islington to a fire above a restaurant.
Firefighters at the scene in north London this morning Fifteen fire engines have been called to a blaze at a takeaway restaurant in north London this morning. Residents who live above the restaurant in Seven Sisters Road in Islington were evacuated using a ladder and people have been warned to stay away and close their windows. Around 100 firefighters are at the blaze, after the The London Fire Brigade said the whole of the ground floor of the building is alight.
’ Firefighters were also called to another incident just a few miles away in West Hampstead where an end-of-terrace house converted into flats had also caught alight. More than 100 firefighters was called to Seven Sisters Road this morning Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled the blaze on Lyncroft Gardens in West Hampstead. Part of the roof of the building was alight. Firefighters evacuated around 25 people to safety. There were no reports of any injuries.
