Emergency services fought to contain large moorland fire in West Yorkshire overnight
Firefighters have been tackling a large moorland blaze in West Yorkshire. An area of about 1.5 sq km was burning on Saddleworth Moor after Britain had its hottest winter day on record on Tuesday. The fire, near Marsden, could be seen for miles as crews from West Yorkshire fire and rescue service battled through the night to contain it.
