'Fireworks' were heard this evening after a car burst into flames in Norris Green . Fire crews were called to Utting Avenue East at around 5.55pm on Friday, December 12. A video sent to the ECHO shows a number of firefighters battling the huge blaze. The car appears to explode like a firework as embers burst from the vehicle. The flames are eventually extinguished and a huge cloud of smoke billows from the car.
A witness told the ECHO: 'I just looked out of my window and it sounded like fireworks. I was told it just happened and the owner's jumped out. No one was hurt, just the car.'
