Roberto Firmino left Liverpool last summer to sign for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli
Roberto Firmino has confused Liverpool supporters after uploading an image of himself wearing a Burnley away kit on his Instagram story.
Firmino is currently enjoying some downtime after making 34 appearances in the Middle East during the 2023/24 season and has a summer off having been left out of Brazil's Copa America squad. Making this clothing selection all the more strange is the fact Firmino was not competing in the Premier League last season, meaning he didn't simply pick it up by swapping shirts at full-time. One potential reason could be linked to the Clarets' full-back Vitinho, who is a fellow Brazilian and may have influenced this decision.
This comes after reports in the winter suggesting the attacker was ready to leave his current employers during the January window after losing his place in the starting eleven between the start of November and end of December.
