Wind gusts of 25-35 mph are likely today, tonight and early tomorrow in/outside of thunderstorms
We only have one chance for wet weather this week, but it will be here sooner than you think... Amanda tracks our threat for storms arriving early Tuesday!MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The new workweek started off on a mostly cloudy and and windy note... some afternoon sunshine helped many reach the upper 60s and lower 70s, but the breezy conditions made it feel cooler than that.
General non-thunderstorm wind speeds will remain elevated tonight and tomorrow morning with sustained speeds of 15-20 mph and gusts of 25-40+ mph. For this reason, the National Weather Service has placed most of the WSFA 12 News viewing area under a Wind Advisory during this time. Thursday will be slightly cooler and a bit breezy with high temperatures topping out near 70°. We warm back into the low 70s Friday afternoon.
