Having worked as the maître d’ on Channel 4’s First Dates for many years, Fred Sirieix has seen his fair share of good-looking people – and he doesn’t hold back when it comes to dishing out compliments.
With plans to walk down the aisle this summer, Fred is also hoping to see his daughter, diver Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, 19, who he shares with ex-wife Alex, take part in the Paris Olympics. If I’m thinking of saying something or doing something, I’m going to do it – I’m not going to worry what somebody else might think Whereas the Brits, they are very reserved. With the French sometimes they say something and they put their foot in it because they should have shut up. But with the Brits, they don’t.
And I think it’s about being a really well-rounded person. She’s developing into a fine young woman and she knows what she wants out of life and she’s doing it.
