The interview in Vogue magazine came as it emerged that the Biden family 'united behind' him during a meeting at Camp David last weekend. They feel that 'you get up and keep fighting' after such knockbacks and believe that few voters will have been swayed by the debate last Thursday. Such certainty among Mr Biden's inner circle has exasperated many Democrats who don't believe he can beat Donald Trump. In the TV debate he rambled and often looked ponderous.
