Jamie Borthwick, known for his role as Jay Brown on EastEnders, was spotted filming for Strictly Come Dancing at a market in London. The scene featured the Strictly crew setting up a vibrant, sparkly purple backdrop, creating a lively and colourful atmosphere.
The show confirmed Jamie as the tenth celebrity to join the 2024 line-up, joining the likes of Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, TOWIE's Pete Wicks, JLS star JB Gill, Welsh opera singer Wynne Evans, eighties icon Toyah Willcox, Morning Live's Dr Punam Krishan and comedian Chris McCausland in the battle to lift the prestigious glitterball trophy.
"I’m hoping to be Salsa-ing around Albert Square in no time and I’ll be asking my Walford Strictly alumni for some words of wisdom. See you on the dancefloor!" Audiences are already being booked for the first live show on Saturday September 21 as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman introduce a host of new celebrity couples to the dance floor.
