First pic of man who ‘raped and murdered OAP in her own home’ in Tottenham ‘burglary’
THIS is the first picture of a man charged with the rape and murder of an 89-year-old woman in her North London home.
Dempster, who has no fixed abode, spoke only to confirm his name, age, his nationality as "English", and that he understood judge Wendy Joseph QC during the 13-minute mention hearing. Dempster was not asked to enter a plea to any of the charges - one count each of murder, rape and burglary, and two counts of sexual assault, court documents confirmed.Police had been called to the Waltheof Gardens home about 10.45am when they found Dorothy's body.Tributes have since been paid for the elderly woman after her body was found in Tottenham.
