‘This is a fast moving and complex investigation still involving many lines of enquiry
A woman who was found murdered in a house in a Sussex village has been named as 58-year-old mother-of-two Nelly Myers.
Pictures from the scene showed the front door – decorated with Christmas lights – removed from its frame as forensics teams worked.Nelly, left, was said to be a former BA air hostess The house’s front door was off its hinge as forensic examinations got under way Detective Chief Inspector Alex Geldart, Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: ‘This is a tragic incident and my thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim at this difficult time.‘We have spoken to a number of people in the local area as part of our investigation already but we are still urging anyone who heard or saw anything unusual or out of place over the last few days to make contact with us.
