Naomi Sarah Ferrans, 9, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the incident on Monday, September 18.
Police have released a photograph of a nine-year-old schoolgirl who tragically died after being hit by a tractor in Ayrshire.
The road was closed for almost eight hours to allow investigation work to be carried out. Police say inquiries into the fatal crash remain ongoing. Inspector Craig Beaver of Ayrshires Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Naomi at this difficult time and we ask that their privacy is respected. Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.
