Nix, the 12th overall pick in last month’s draft, has a four-year deal worth a fully guaranteed $18.61 million and comes with a $10.36 million signing bonus, multiple sources confirmed to The Denver Post. Like all first-round picks, Nix’s contract has an option for a fifth year. Nix is the first of the six first-round quarterbacks to sign his rookie contract. Other first-rounders who have signed or agreed, according to reports from around the league, include New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers , New Orleans tackle Talise Fuaga , Indianapolis edge rusher Laiatu Latu , Seattle defensive lineman Byron Murphy II and a handful of others.
The minicamp began Friday and runs through Sunday. Between the seven draft picks, a crop of undrafted free agents and dozens of tryout players, the Broncos will likely have upward of 50 participants.Now five of the seven draft picks are known to have agreed to their deals. The pair that hasn’t — wide receiver Troy Franklin and edge rusher Jonah Elliss — will participate in minicamp under injury protection agreements until their rookie contracts are signed.
