Inside ‘vibrant maximalist wonderland’ as first-time homeowner ‘goes wild’ with quirky renovation
A first-time homeowner has ‘gone wild’ decorating her new home with unique features, bright colours and more than 140 framed pictures which she's nicknamed her ‘vibrant maximalist wonderland’.
"Interiors have always been my passion, but when I was renting, I didn't feel like I could express myself,” Verity explained. "When my husband and I were finally able to buy, he let me do whatever I wanted, and it was so fun to let my imagination run wild.” "I was so excited to experiment with different coloured paints and started by painting my living room dark blue. It made such a lovely change from the boring magnolia walls we had whyn we rented.Verity says she took inspiration from other home accounts on Instagram and taught herself how to transform her home by watching YouTube videos. After teaching herself the basics, Verity developed her own unique style - using lots of texture, colour and pattern.
"I love scrolling through Instagram to find small businesses who make really cool pictures that I can add to my collection. My favourite sites are 'Ink and Drop' and 'Unique' - I always find amazing art there.
