The comedy stars Louis-Dreyfus as writer Beth whose longstanding marriage is suddenly thrown into turmoil when she hears her husband's honest opinion of her new book, leading her to question their whole relationship.
Written and directed by Nicole Holofcener, the film also stars Tobias Menzies as Beth's husband Don, Michaela Watkins as her sister Sarah, Arian Moayed as Sarah's husband Mark, and Jeannie Berlin as Beth and Sarah's mother.As the trailer shows, the film questions all the 'little white lies' couples tell each other to keep the peace and whether or not this is really healthy for a relationship.
The movie premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival in January and was met with rave reviews from critics, currently holding a 96 per cent 'Fresh' rating on
