Adult Swim's new 10-episode anime series based on Rick and Morty comes from acclaimed director Takashi Sano.
fans are used to seeing the show’s portal-hopping characters visit bizarre worlds that in no way resemble our own; they’re also familiar with seeing Rick, Morty, and the rest of the gang rendered in anime form, thanks to five. Fortunately, the anime looks like a lot of fun and very much in the spirit of the original! Check out the trailer:, who also wrote and directed two of the earlier shorts.
The cast includes both Japanese and English voice actors: Youhei Tadano and Joe Daniels as Rick; Keisuke Chiba and Gabriel Regojo as Morty; Akiha Matsui and Donna Bella Litton as Summer; Manabu Muraji and Joe Daniels as Jerry; and Takako Fuji and Patricia Duran as Beth. You can catch‘s premiere August 15 at midnight on Adult Swim; then, the subtitled version in Japanese drops August 17 at midnight as part of Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block.
