Five individuals, including Liam Payne's companion and hotel staff, have been charged in Argentina following the pop star's fatal fall.

In a shocking development, five individuals have been charged in connection with the death of beloved One Direction star Liam Payne. Among those implicated is Payne's companion, Roger Nores, as well as key staff members from the CasaSur Palermo hotel where the tragedy unfolded.

Charged alongside Nores are hotel chief receptionist Esteban Grassi and head of security Gilda Martin, as well as waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz, 24, and Ezequiel David Pereyra, 21; both of whom are accused of supplying drugs to Liam. According to local news outlet infobae, they have been given just 24 hours to reappear in court, facing potential prison terms of up to 15 years in Argentina. Nores is understood to have left the hotel approximately an hour before Payne’s fatal accident. Reports allege he has now been charged with negligent homicide and is prohibited from international travel. The tragic loss of pop icon Liam Payne at the age of 31 occurred on 16 October, following a fall from the third-floor balcony of an Argentine hotel in Buenos Aires. Following his untimely death, an autopsy revealed the cause was due to multiple traumas and 'internal and external haemorrhage.' Earlier this month, it emerged that Nores refused to answer an investigative judge's queries regarding the circumstances leading up to Payne's passing. Despite intense scrutiny, Nores maintains a fierce denial of accusations suggesting he left his friend in a state of disarray moments before the harrowing incident took place in the hotel lobby, reports the Mirror. Hotel staff made two urgent 911 calls before the tragic discovery of Liam's lifeless body. The first call, seemingly from the head receptionist, reported a guest who had overdosed on 'too many drugs and alcohol' and was 'trashing the entire room' before the call abruptly ended. In a follow-up call, the same distressed employee expressed fears for the guest's safety due to a balcony in the room, pleading with the operator for immediate assistance
