Households have just a few days before a government scheme for winter energy bills opens up
Homeowners have been issued a five-day warning as the start of an essential government scheme approaches.
Firstly, certain conditions must be met during the qualifying date of August 13, 2023. Only households which live in an eligible domestic premise may receive the rebate - with eligible households being automatically identified in the VOA data, Yorkshire Live reports. Therefore, properties where the electricity supply is provided through an intermediary, such as in park homes, caravans, and annexes, will not be eligible. A person living in a care home, including nursing homes, would also not be eligible for a rebate for the same reasons.
