Five people have been killed and 35 wounded after a Russian missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Kherson, a Kyiv presidential aide has reported.
Kyrylo Tymoshenko told his Telegram followers that 16 of the wounded are seriously hurt following yesterday’s attack on the city centre.condemned Russia as a “terrorist country” that was “shelling the civilian population”. Yaroslav Yanushevych, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said on Telegram that kindergartens, schools, hospitals, shops, factories, private and apartments were among the buildings hit in a salvo of 36 shells.
A six-year-old girl taken to hospital with multiple shrapnel injuries is in a serious condition, he said.
