The Department for Work and Pensions will be giving one-off payments across five schemes in months towards Christmas.
There are also cold weather payments giving claimants £25, a DWP bonus of £10 expected, as well as the warm home discount which will give £50 to households. Below is what is expected over winter from the DWP, as those who are finding it hard to make ends meet can get their hands on extra support. Pensioner cost-of-living payment - £300 This will be paid as an increase to the Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2023 to 2024. There are three payments to recipients of the means-tested benefit: one of £301 paid during spring, 2023, one of £300 paid during autumn, 2023 and one of £299 paid during spring, 2024.
After each period of very cold weather in your area, you should get a payment within 14 working days. It’s paid into the same bank or building society account as your benefit payments.
