Five teenagers are in a 'serious' condition after a car smashed into a tree in East Kilbride. Four were 'thrown' from the vehicle while one person remained trapped inside.
At around 8.55pm on Sunday, June 2, an 18-year-old was driving a black Vauxhall Astra on Crookedshields Highway near to its junction with Crookedshields Road, when he appeared to lose control and strike a tree.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said four casualties had been "thrown" from the vehicle, while one person remained trapped inside.READ MORE: Easterhouse football club pay tribute to Glasgow teen after 'senseless' death in park disturbanceThe 18-year-old driver and two male passengers aged 17 and 18 were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
