Woman of the Hour on Netflix delves into the harrowing true story of serial killer Rodney Alcala and his appearance on a famous TV dating show at the peak of his murdering spree
Netflix's newest true crime release explores how serial killer Rodney Alcala earned his nickname.
Alcala was listed on FBI's most wanted The film begins and ends with two of Alcala's distinct and equally shocking crimes. In 1968, he was also imprisoned for sexually and physically assaulting an eight year old girl, but was granted parole in 1976 after serving two years. Bradshaw knew Alcala was 'creepy' before drinks Anna Kendrick's character shares a drink with Alcala at a cocktail bar right after the show's filming. This leads to some incredibly awkward moments, leaving us to speculate about the potential horror that could have unfolded in the car park.
How Alcala was actually apprehended The movie concludes with his dramatic arrest, but notes that Alcala was back on the streets shortly thereafter.
