Five warnings for ice, gales, fog, rain and flooding in day of UK weather chaos
BRITS are braced for a day of wild weather after forecasters predicted ice, gales, fog, rain and flooding will hit the country.
Wind gusts of up to 70mph are expected to batter Northern Ireland, Wales and the south-west today and continue until the weekend. The Met Office has issued two rain alerts, one in Cornwall and Devon, and another in south Wales, as up to two weeks of rain batter both areas.Another alert active across nearly all of England predicts fog, while an ice warning is in force for north-west, north-east, central, west and east England.
