A five-year-old boy named Lincoln Button was found dead at his home in Essex on December 15th. Emergency services responded to serious concerns for Lincoln and a woman at a residence on Windstar Drive in South Ockendon. A woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and her condition has since improved. Essex Police have stated that they are not looking to identify anyone else in connection with the investigation.
Lincoln's heartbroken family released a statement, describing him as a cherished, loved, sweet, and beautiful young soul who will be sorely missed. Lincoln was a Year 1 student at Bonnygate Primary School, where he was remembered as a cheeky, smiley, and happy boy. Detective Chief Inspector Alan Blakesley, leading the Essex Police investigation, emphasized the sensitivity and complexity of the case and urged the public to respect Lincoln's family's privacy
