Heartbroken accountant Dom is weeping over the ex who’s cheated on him with his best friend, when intrepid costume designer Yas , mid-pee, overhears his sobs from the stall next door. No better circumstances than these, really, for new love to rear its clumsy, earnest head.“Everyone has a mess,” Yas will remark later.
Even when Yas and Dom walk off-screen, cinematographer Olan Collardy’s fisheye lens – a delightfully emotive visual quirk – is attentive to the people in the corner of the frame, lost in their own little worlds.
