Plans haven't been decided for the proposal yet
Five new flats and two retail units could be coming to St Ann’s. Plans are in place for the expansion and revamp of a Memorial Hall on Ransom Road next to Flint’s Store, a convenience shop.
“Retain and refurbish the existing hall, converting it to create residential accommodation to the upper level with retail at the ground floor with the existing lower ground level used as a storage space. Construct a single-storey pitched roof building to the north of the hall to house a small retail unit.”Residents in St Ann’s shared their views on the proposals. Caroline Koor, 44 lives in St Ann’s.
Right now, the memorial hall is being used for storage, according to the application. Maree Burrows, 59 lives in St Ann’s. She said: “It doesn’t look big enough to be able to fit all of that.
