FLEABAG star Sian Clifford has revealed the show's harrowing miscarriage scene was inspired by Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s friend’s real life experience.

Speaking about the scene during a BAFTA comedy performance panel, Sian revealed it was based on a real life situation of someone close to Phoebe, 35."It wasn’t a dinner, but she was at a business lunch, and she had a miscarriage in the bathroom and then went back to her business.
