Fleabag graciously bowed out of our lives today with the final installment of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s insanely perfect second series. We waited three long years for the show’s follow-up season and my God did it go above and beyond, both by way of acting and writing, and the closing chapter was no different.
The last episode saw Godmother exchange nuptials with Dad , aka ‘the love of her life,’ with Andrew Scott’s Sexy Priest stealing all our attentionsHe warned us his costume ‘would blow our f***ing minds,’ and this rings true for the ending too. Yes, it really was the perfect send-off, not solely because of the Priest but because Claire did the right thing by chucking her toxic husband Martin , allowing us to collectively breathe a sigh of relief and shout ‘good riddance’ at our screens.
