'I think people in Liverpool sort of get culture in a way that other cities perhaps don't'
The Floating Earth's creator, Luke Jerram, praised Liverpool's interest in not only his work but culture as a whole.
Luke originally brought the installation to the Anglican Cathedral in 2019 before rehousing it on the docks. He admitted he couldn't pick a favourite home for his work but gushed over the response from Liverpool as a whole.Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, he said: "I think people in Liverpool sort of get culture in a way that other cities perhaps don't. There's an appetite for it. There's an understanding of it.
