The band, known for their energetic live performances and popular songs like If I Ever Leave This World Alive, Drunken Lullabies, and Devi’s Dance Floor, announced the cancellation on social media, requesting privacy for King and his family during this difficult time.
While the band did not disclose the specifics of King’s health condition, they expressed gratitude for fans’ prayers and support. Despite the cancellation, Flogging Molly confirmed that their upcoming Salty Dog Cruise will proceed as planned. The cruise, set to depart in 12 days, will feature 18 bands, including members of Flogging Molly, celebrating the community and their captain, Dave King.Fans reacted with an outpouring of love and well wishes for King and the band. Many expressed their disappointment over the canceled tour but emphasized their support for King’s recovery. Flogging Molly was scheduled to embark on a European and American tour, with dates in major cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Orlando, as part of their Road To Rebellion Tour.
